Music composed by Øystein Sevåg is performed "live"  by Øystein Sevåg's Global House Band 2001 (Norway). Also included are sounds of electromagnetic radio signals emanating from auroras captured from ground-based receivers and on orbiting spacecraft along with recent recordings of the sounds from the center of the Sun captured by the Michelson Doppler Imager on the SOHO satellite.

Øystein Sevåg (born 1957) - composer, piano, keyboards
His characteristics as a composer stem from an extremely versatile background. His study and work within classical, jazz, electronic and folk music from many cultures, has matured into his unmistakable style as both a musician and composer. Since 1987 he has composed and released a series of solo albums which are distributed world wide. He has established a position as an artist of international renown in his genre. His last solo album ÒBridgeÓ included the Philharmonia Orchestra (London), the Global House Band and soloists. The album won the "Indie Award" for the best New Age recording of the year in the USA.

Zotora Nygård (born 1960) - didjeridoo
Zotora has played the didjeridoo since 1987. He has travelled the world as a street musician as well as performing in big official arrangements such as the 50th anniversary of UN, opening of the worlds largest offshore gas-platform and so on. He plays with classical, contemporary, jazz and folk musicians, he works with artists and dancers and is highly respected for his work. Lately he Supported Buffy Saint-Marie at her concert in Norway. He has also released two CDs: "Ninji-Ninji" in 1994 and "Emigrate" in 1998, and play on several other releases.

Ole Marius Melhuus (born 1956) - bass guitar, percussion.
Since graduating from Music Academy of Oslo, Norway, in 1983, has made steady living as professional bass guitar player in many styles - doing shows, clubs, touring, recording. In later years focusing more on jazz- and latin grooves. Hired by Øystein Sevåg in 1995 for touring and recording with the Global House Band through 1995 and 1996. Participated on Sevag«s CD release "Bridge."

Rune Arnesen (born 1965) - drums, percussion
Started playing drums at the age of 8 in a marching band. At the age of 19 he quit studying classical percussion and left for Berklee Collage of Music, Boston, USA, where he studied for two and a half year. Back in Oslo he started working as a session musician. Since then he has participated on more than a hundred albums with mostly Norwegian artists and bands. Also touring with several, such as Randy Crawford, Sidsel Endresen, Rick Danco, Øystein Sevåg, Sissel Kyrkjeboe, Bendik Hofseth, Bugge Wesseltoft. The last 5 years the main project has been recording and touring around the world with ECM artist Nils Petter Molvaer.

Maria Sevåg (born 1968) - violin, viola
Graduated from Academy of Music in Freiburg, Germany, in 1992. Has toured all over Europe with the 'Freiburg Baroque Orchestra'. Toured with the Global House Band in Norway, in 1996. Participated on Øystein Sevåg's CD ÒBridgeÓ (97). Composed and played music together with Øystein Sevåg for the movie Dance of Life, about the Norwegian painter Edvard Munch. Participating on several chamber music projects in Germany, including CD-recordings. 12 years experience as violin teacher.

Elin Ødegård (born 1957) - vocals, keyboard
A singer with piano education, is well versed in the jazz and pop tradition, as well as her "indigenous" singing style, accompanied by didgeridoo, jew`s harp, loops and other instruments from the different continents. Her musical experience ranges from a cappella groups to singing with big bands, and other varied combinations. She has together with pianist Bugge Wesseltoft just released a duo- CD containing jazz standards, which has received very good reviews.
